This multi-location project involved the assembly, alignment, and commissioning of combustion and steam turbines for global clients in the energy and process industries.
Each turbine installation demanded precise mechanical tolerances, controlled assembly conditions, and synchronized generator coupling for maximum performance.

Greenspan Power handled complete turbine foundation preparation, mechanical alignment, rotor balancing, and coupling using state-of-the-art alignment tools and optical measurement systems.
Our commissioning engineers performed extensive dry and wet tests, validating mechanical integrity, vibration behavior, lubrication systems, and automation controls before synchronization with the grid.

Engineering Scope

  • On-site assembly of turbine rotors, casings, and exhaust sections.
  • Shaft alignment between turbine and generator using laser-based tools.
  • Oil flushing, bearing inspections, and rotor dynamic analysis.
  • Automation system commissioning, including load rejection and trip testing.
  • Training plant engineers for operational handover.

Challenges & Execution

The project required simultaneous commissioning of multiple turbine types — including both combined-cycle gas turbines and industrial steam turbines — across varying climatic conditions.
Greenspan Power deployed mobile diagnostic units and a remote monitoring system to provide live commissioning data for engineering review.
Despite complex logistics and global supply chain pressures, all turbines were commissioned ahead of schedule.

Results & Outcomes

  • Installed and commissioned 100+ MW of total turbine capacity.
  • Achieved vibration levels below ISO 7919-2 limits.
  • Reduced commissioning cycle time by 22% through digital workflow integration.
  • Delivered long-term O&M (Operation & Maintenance) manuals and training modules.
